Section 2: Payment Methods — iDEAL | Wero Compliance Statement

2.1 iDEAL | Wero — General

ShopLorman offers iDEAL | Wero as a payment method for customers in the Netherlands and the broader EEA. iDEAL | Wero is a regulated, bank-authorised payment system operated under the brand and rules of Currence iDEAL B.V. (hereinafter "Currence"), which is the product and brand owner of iDEAL | Wero and sets the rules governing its use.

Effective 22 January 2026, iDEAL has entered a co-branded transitional phase as "iDEAL | Wero," reflecting the migration of the iDEAL payment scheme into Wero — the pan-European digital payment solution developed by the European Payments Initiative (EPI). ShopLorman displays the "iDEAL | Wero" co-branded identity in its checkout in compliance with the mandatory Currence Brand Manual (2026 edition), effective 29 January 2026.

2.2 How iDEAL | Wero Works

When a customer selects iDEAL | Wero at checkout:

1.    (a) The customer is redirected to their bank's secure payment environment or Wero-enabled banking app.

2.    (b) The customer authorises a guaranteed account-to-account (A2A) transfer from their IBAN directly to ShopLorman's designated merchant IBAN via the acquiring Payment Service Provider (PSP).

3.    (c) Payment confirmation is received in real time. No card details are stored or processed by ShopLorman.

4.    (d) iDEAL | Wero payments are processed exclusively by ShopLorman's certified Payment Service Provider (PSP/Acquirer), which holds the required licence under PSD2 (Directive (EU) 2015/2366) from the competent regulatory authority.

2.3 Wero — European Payments Initiative (EPI)

Wero is the digital wallet and instant payment solution of the European Payments Initiative (EPI), combining the functionality of national payment systems — including iDEAL in the Netherlands — into a single pan-European platform. Wero is based on the SEPA Instant Credit Transfer (SCT Inst) protocol and is fully compliant with EU Instant Payments Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2024/886).

ShopLorman's offering of Wero (hereinafter also referred to as "WIRO" in certain payment-processor contexts) as a checkout option is facilitated through a certified EPI/Currence-compliant PSP. ShopLorman itself does not act as, and does not hold a licence as, a Payment Service Provider, Payment Institution, or Electronic Money Institution under the Dutch Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht — Wft) or PSD2.

2.4 Merchant Role and Liability Limitation — Payments

ShopLorman's role in any iDEAL | Wero payment transaction is solely that of a payee/beneficiary merchant. All payment initiation, authentication, authorisation, and settlement functions are performed by:

5.    (a) The customer's Issuing Bank (Issuer), licensed under PSD2; and

6.    (b) ShopLorman's Acquiring PSP (Acquirer/CPSP), certified by Currence.

ShopLorman is not liable for:

      Payment failures, delays, or errors attributable to the customer's bank, the Issuer, or the PSP;

      Unauthorised transactions that are properly disputed and resolved through the customer's bank;

      Technical outages on the iDEAL | Wero platform operated by Currence or EPI;

      Currency conversion losses where a customer's account is denominated in a currency other than the transaction currency.

In the event of a payment dispute related to iDEAL | Wero, customers should first contact their bank or PSP. For order-specific disputes (non-delivery, defective goods), customers should contact ShopLorman directly at Shop.Lorman@gmail.com.

Section 3: EU Consumer Rights — Withdrawal and Returns

3.1 Right of Withdrawal (Herroepingsrecht)

Pursuant to EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive), as implemented in the Netherlands via Boek 6 BW (Burgerlijk Wetboek), consumers purchasing from ShopLorman have the right to withdraw from any distance contract without giving reasons within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods ("cooling-off period" / "bedenktijd").

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must notify ShopLorman within the 14-day period by an unequivocal statement (e.g., email to Shop.Lorman@gmail.com) indicating the decision to withdraw. Consumers may use the EU model withdrawal form (available from the European Commission) but are not obliged to do so.

3.2 Exclusions from the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

7.    (a) Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised;

8.    (b) Sealed goods which have been unsealed after delivery and are not suitable for return for hygiene or health protection reasons;

9.    (c) Digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, where performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost;

10. (d) Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

3.3 Refunds

If a valid withdrawal is exercised, ShopLorman will reimburse all payments received from the consumer, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods or proof of return. Refunds will be processed using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. Where payment was made via iDEAL | Wero, refunds will be credited to the originating IBAN via the PSP. ShopLorman reserves the right to withhold reimbursement until goods are received or evidence of return is provided.

3.4 Complaints

Consumers may direct complaints to ShopLorman by email at Shop.Lorman@gmail.com. ShopLorman will acknowledge complaints within 5 business days and endeavour to resolve all complaints within 30 calendar days. If a complaint cannot be resolved, EEA consumers may submit a complaint via the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR) at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

Section 4: Governing Law and Jurisdiction

4.1 Applicable Law — Netherlands and Canada

These legal notices and any non-contractual disputes arising out of or in connection with them are governed by a dual legal framework:

11. (a) Netherlands / EU Law: With respect to consumers residing in the Netherlands or the broader EEA, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of Dutch law (Burgerlijk Wetboek, Boek 6) and applicable EU law — including but not limited to Directive 2011/83/EU, Regulation (EC) 593/2008 (Rome I), and Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 (Brussels Ibis) — apply to all distance contracts concluded with EEA consumers, regardless of any choice of law to the contrary. These mandatory provisions cannot be contracted out of.

12. (b) Canada — British Columbia: ShopLorman is incorporated and operated from the Province of British Columbia, Canada. To the extent permissible, and for matters not governed by mandatory EEA consumer-protection law, these notices shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

4.2 Jurisdiction

For disputes brought by EEA consumers: consumers residing in the EU/EEA retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of domicile pursuant to Article 18 of Regulation (EU) 1215/2012.

For all other disputes: the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada shall apply.

Section 5: Intellectual Property

5.1 ShopLorman Content

All text, images, product descriptions, graphic elements, logos, and other content on ShopLorman ("ShopLorman Content") are the property of ShopLorman or its respective licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or use of ShopLorman Content is strictly prohibited.

5.2 Third-Party Payment Brand Assets

"iDEAL," "Wero," and "iDEAL | Wero" are registered trademarks and brand properties of Currence iDEAL B.V. and/or the European Payments Initiative (EPI). These marks are used by ShopLorman solely in accordance with the official iDEAL | Wero Brand Manual (2026) for the purpose of informing customers of available payment methods. ShopLorman makes no claim of ownership over these marks.

"Shopify" is a registered trademark of Shopify Inc. ShopLorman operates as a merchant on the Shopify platform and makes no claim of ownership over the Shopify brand or platform.

Section 6: Limitation of Liability

6.1 General Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (and subject always to mandatory EEA consumer-protection rights which cannot be excluded), ShopLorman shall not be liable for:

13. (a) Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;

14. (b) Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity;

15. (c) Damage resulting from interruptions, inaccuracies, or errors in third-party services, including the iDEAL | Wero payment platform, Shopify's commerce platform, or the customer's own bank or PSP;

16. (d) Matters outside ShopLorman's reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to acts of God, cyberattacks, regulatory changes, or infrastructure failures.

6.2 Product and Service Liability

ShopLorman's liability for defective goods or services is limited to the amount paid by the consumer for the specific item in question, except where applicable mandatory law (including Dutch or EEA consumer law) provides otherwise.

6.3 Mandatory Consumer Rights Not Affected

Nothing in these notices shall limit or exclude any rights that consumers cannot waive under applicable mandatory EEA consumer-protection law, including rights under Directive 2011/83/EU, Directive 1999/44/EC (as amended), and the Dutch Civil Code.

Section 7: Data Protection

ShopLorman processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which is available separately on the ShopLorman website. Payment data entered during iDEAL | Wero transactions is processed exclusively by the licensed PSP/Acquirer and is not stored by ShopLorman. ShopLorman complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — GDPR) with respect to personal data of EEA data subjects, and with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia, Canada, for all other customers.
